Is the main word her nephew used to describe her when he gave her eulogy. Unselfish, kind and loving, never a harsh word about anyone, she loved her family and was the peacekeeper. She was never judgmental or spiteful, a true Christian. She knew people weren’t perfect and that the world could be cruel but always tried to see the best in everyone.
We all knew this day was coming but hoped it would not be so soon.
I blogged about her and what she meant to us in 2009 and our love for her has only grown. Her grandson loved her and she loved him just as much, they had a special bond, her face lit up when he walked in the room and her eyes filled with tears when he left, the love was definitely visible and flowed both ways.
This is from my blog in 2009 and definitely worth repeating;
She has been an inspiration to me mostly because of her love and devotion to her family and her faith. Her favorite saying is "We do what we can" and that is all any of us can do. Ultimately we just do what we can live with because when it is all said and done you will have to live with any and all decisions you made.
We try to live our lives without regrets; we do what needs to be done in order to do this. We try to follow in her footsteps, we put others first and hold our families tight.
We will definitely miss our dear sweet Granny Love.
